Job Opening - Event Director
Job Purpose:
To work collaboratively with the Group Director and Managing Director to create, implement and execute a show business plan to achieve KPIs and the successful delivery of the event. This includes meeting/exceeding sales targets, exhibitor targets, exhibitor satisfaction, increase brand value and position the exhibition for future growth. This is primarily a sales position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Exhibit Space Retention & Growth
- Symposia sponsorships Retention & Growth
- Non-symposia sponsorships & services
- Year round servicing of clients & prospecting
- Attendee Revenue targets
Education Provider Liaison
- Work with Education Provider to coordinate conference sessions
- Manage associated conference logistics and operations requirements
- Ensure conference content is received in a timely manner and promoted on the web site
On-Site
- Oversee all aspects of show floor (with Operations)
- Main point of contact for exhibitors
- Re-book for next year’s event
Administration
- Invoicing (with Operations)
- A/R
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM
Business Planning including:
- Exhibitor marketing/prospectus
- Attendee marketing
- Overall strategy and growth
Remuneration package will commensurate with experience. Immediate start for right candidate. Candidate will work out of our office in Markham, ON.
